TERMS & CONDITIONS OF SERVICE
These Terms & Conditions apply to all quotations, invoices, work orders and services provided by Carpe Diem Cleaning & Restoration (“the Company”). Acceptance of any quotation, booking or commencement of work constitutes acceptance of these Terms & Conditions.
- Quotations
All quotations are valid for 30 days from the date issued unless otherwise stated.
Quotations are based on the information available at the time of inspection. Should additional work be required due to unforeseen conditions, hidden damage or customer variations, the Company reserves the right to revise the quotation. Any additional charges will be discussed and approved before proceeding.
- Scope of Works
The Company will carry out only the work described within the accepted quotation.
Additional services requested by the customer that fall outside the quoted scope will be charged separately.
- Customer Responsibilities
The customer agrees to:
- Provide safe and unrestricted access to the property.
- Ensure electricity and water are available where required.
- Remove valuables, fragile items and personal belongings from work areas where practical.
- Advise the Company of any known hazards, asbestos, mould, electrical faults or unsafe conditions.
The Company reserves the right to suspend work if unsafe conditions exist.
- Payment Terms
Unless otherwise agreed in writing, payment is due upon completion of the work.
For larger restoration projects, dry ice blasting, insurance work or commercial contracts, a deposit and/or progress payments may be required.

Carpe Diem Cleaning & Restoration proudly offers Zip as a payment option.
Customers wishing to pay using Zip must advise us prior to commencement of work.
All Zip transactions remain subject to Zip’s approval criteria and Terms & Conditions.
Cash
Cash payments are accepted upon completion of work.
- Late Payments
Invoices outstanding beyond the due date may incur:
- Interest on overdue amounts where permitted by law.
- Administration fees relating to debt recovery.
- Legal and collection costs incurred in recovering unpaid debts.
- Suspension of future services until the account is brought up to date.
- Ownership
All reports, photographs, documentation and workmanship remain the property of Carpe Diem Cleaning & Restoration until payment has been received in full.
- Cancellations
Appointments cancelled with less than 24 hours’ notice may incur a cancellation fee.
Should access not be available upon arrival, a call-out fee may also apply.
- Workmanship Guarantee
Carpe Diem Cleaning & Restoration takes pride in delivering quality workmanship.
If you believe our workmanship does not meet reasonable industry standards, you must notify us within 48 hours of completion so we may inspect and rectify the issue where appropriate.
This guarantee does not cover:
- Existing damage
- Wear and tear
- Manufacturing defects
- Poor installation
- Pre-existing stains
- Damage caused by third parties
- Damage resulting from customer negligence
- Events beyond our control
- Cleaning Results
While every reasonable effort is made to achieve the best possible cleaning outcome, some stains, discolouration, odours and permanent damage cannot be completely removed.
No guarantee is given that all staining or contamination will be eliminated.
- Restoration Services
Where restoration work is performed, hidden damage may only become apparent after cleaning or dismantling.
Any additional work required will be quoted separately before proceeding.
- Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by Australian Consumer Law, the Company’s liability is limited to:
- Re-performing the services; or
- Refunding the amount paid for those services.
The Company shall not be liable for indirect, incidental or consequential loss including loss of income, business interruption or loss of profits.
Nothing within these Terms excludes any rights provided under the Australian Consumer Law.
- Insurance Work
Where services are performed on behalf of an insurer, the customer remains responsible for any excess, non-approved work or outstanding balance not covered by the insurer.
- Force Majeure
The Company shall not be liable for delays caused by circumstances beyond its reasonable control including:
- Severe weather
- Flood
- Fire
- Power outages
- Government restrictions
- Material shortages
- Equipment failure
- Staff illness
- Privacy
Customer information is collected solely for the purpose of providing our services, processing payments and complying with legal obligations.
Personal information will not be disclosed except where required by law or with customer consent.
- Governing Law
These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of the applicable Australian State or Territory in which the services are provided.
